Manchester Bio-Modelling Network

The Bio-Modelling Network was created to bring together researchers in the University of Manchester who are working in the area of Biological Modelling.

Systems Biology Centres in the UK

There are two existing BBSRC/EPSRC centres, running since October 2005, in addition to MCISB:

CISBIC (Centre for Integrative Systems Biology at Imperial College, London)
CISBAN (Centre for Integrated Systems Biology of Ageing and Nutrition, Newcastle University)

In addition, three new BBSRC/EPSRC centres were announced on 20 April 2006:

CISBE (Centre for Systems Biology at Edinburgh, The University of Edinburgh)
CPIB (Centre for Plant Integrative Biology, University of Nottingham)
OCISB (Oxford Centre for Integrative Systems Biology, University of Oxford)

Systems Biology courses

There are two Systems Biology related courses running during the 2008 summer period:

New Developments in Quantitative Molecular Bioscience, Island of Spetses, Greece, 10-17 September 2008.
The 3rd International Course in Yeast Systems Biology, Gothenburg, Sweden, 2-19 June 2008.

Yeast Systems Biology Network (YSBN)

The YSBN is a consortium of researchers promoting Systems Biology with the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae as a model system.
